Mobile Crane Simulator

The mobile crane simulator from e-Tech Simulation puts the operator at the control of a typical mobile hydraulic crane equipped with telescoping boom and jib, and a variety of loads and hookblocks. Typical instrument readings are also displayed including boom angle, boom length, height, radius, and quadrant of operation, along with a simulated load-moment indicator. You can even change the viewpoint during the simulation at the touch of a button.

There are six "Simulation Modules" of increasing difficulty. Early modules introduce the basic crane motions. Later Simulation Modules add obstacles and load charts, to end with zigzag trajectory following exercises. Key "Performance Indicators" measure how quickly and how carefully the simulated work is performed, including execution time, maximum load sway, number of load/obstacle collisions, and number of 2-blocking occurrences. In this way, the feedback is diagnostic, instead of just a consolidated pass/fail score.

Tower Crane Simulator

The tower crane simulator from e-Tech puts the operator at the controls of a modern freestanding top-slewing tower crane with trolley jib. Instrument readings include working slew angle, working radius, lowering depth (hook height), and load weight. There is also a simulated three-way switch for hoist gear selection. You can even change the viewpoint during the simulation at the touch of a button.

Backhoe Simulator

Backhoe Simulator from e-Tech Simulation includes a hydraulic backhoe and a loader caterpillar that spins on its axis. The simulator puts the operators in charge of a modern dual-use machine in a typical construction site.

The Backhoe includes exercise, environmental changes and customization of controls and it includes also the option to use a movement platform.

Hydraulic Excavator Simulator

The Hydraulic Excavator simulator from e-Tech Simulation puts the operator at the controls of a modern hydraulic excavator at work in a typical construction site, in interaction with an articulated dump truck. Both SAE and Backhoe-Loader joystick patterns are available. You can even use the keyboard function keys and mouse controls during the simulation to change the point of view.

There are a total of twelve "Simulation Modules" of increasing difficulty, starting with Controls Familiarization, followed by exercises to coordinate the control of the boom, stick, swing, and bucket. Intermediate modules feature trench crossing using "boom jacking", and climbing/descending benches. After that comes the digging, trenching, and truck loading modules, at grade and from benches, with both simulated dirt and boulders. Along the way, you will also learn to spot trucks. For the final module, build ramps to climb benches.

For each Simulation Module, key "Performance Indicators" measure how quickly and how carefully the simulated work is performed, including execution time, truck loading accuracy, the maximum tilt angle when the excavator climbs/descends benches, and the number of "slams" that sound when the bucket is over-opened or over-closed. In this way, the feedback is diagnostic, instead of just a consolidated pass/fail score.

You can even use the keyboard function keys and mouse controls during the simulation to change the point of view!

There are eight "Simulation Modules" of increasing difficulty, starting with Controls Familiarization and ending with Loading with truck spotting. Key "Performance Indicators" measure how quickly and how carefully the simulated work is performed including execution time and the detection of "slams" that sound and are counted when the bucket is over-opened or over-closed.
