Harbour Crane Simulators from e-Tech have the technology necessary for the simulation as a means of training and learning to its full advantage. With this technology we form practical operators to have the ability to control any risk situation because they are trained in safe environments that replicate real experiences, accidents, climate change and damage of equipment to learn the protocols to follow in each of these.

Forklift Simulator

The forklift simulator allows simulating hazardous situations, reproducing accidents, assessing the level of compliance with safety standards and does everything that you cannot train in a real machine for security reasons.

The e-Tech simulator uses a station of real command, which respects the ergonomic position of a real forklift.

Ship to Shore Gantry Crane Simulator

Ship to Shore Gantry Crane simulator offered by e-Tech Simulation ensures optimal performance in handling containers, loading and unloading ships.

The equipment offered by e-Tech is an essential tool in the simulation of ship operations, pier or boat docking. The task of the quayside crane is loading and unloading containers on a ship. Its speed, precision and control ensure optimum performance in the management of the operations.

The sensitivity and adjustment controls and commands of the crane simulator allow a full and rapid adaptation to the actual equipment being simulated, shortening the learning curve. Moreover, through the adjustment of parameters, which can be produced by the instructor in a simple manner, it is possible to simulate different generic cranes from technical data.

The equipment has features that allow you to adjust the parameters that are characteristic of the cranes in range, speed and distance among others, providing a simulator set to the dimensions of the cranes that are used in the port. Any brand of crane such as ZPMC, Kalmar and so on, and any type of crane Panamax, Post-Panamax, or Super Post-Panamax.

Ship to Shore Gantry Crane simulator incorporates models of ships such as Barge, Feeder, Panamax, Post-Panamax, and Super Post-Panamax. It is used in the tasks of loading, unloading, and managing the following situations:

  • Loading and unloading in the warehouse.
  • Cargo on deck, over the tops of the warehouses.
  • Work with single containers 20’, 40’ and 45’, as well as loading and unloading containers 20’ in twin lift mode.
  • It also simulates the use of different types of spreaders, including Over High or High Cube
  • Off-Balance Loads

Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) Crane Simulator

The Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) crane Simulator is a key tool for simulating the handling of containers in the yard in a port terminal. Simulate a rigid crane mounted on wheels allowing the movement of the load in a straight line on a horizontal path. The simulator generates the difficulty of working with container, adding in this case the maneuver with the crane on the street, or yards and the attention necessary to the traffic of trucks existing in a terminal.

The simulator performance controls guarantees a reliable operation generating interactions with the management of the spreader being simulated in detail, allowing the use of elements available in the real cranes, such as the system “Gantry Steering far/near”, and skew, trim, side shifting and so on. Also, it simulates the movement and performance of the equipment, the visual flow of trucks, collisions, container yard, and response to weather conditions, among others.

It is also possible to parameterize the models, so you can simulate virtually any RTG Crane model with the knowledge about their technical characteristics. It allows simulating different maneuvers:

  • Stack containers to a truck.
  • Unloading containers from truck to yard.
  • Removal of containers (changes position).
  • Different types of containers and spreaders.
  • Loading and unloading refrigerated containers.

Mobile Harbour Crane Simulator

The system simulates a Mobile Harbour Crane (MHC), used for loading and unloading of containers, bulk cargo, and merchandise in general. The model considers the different movements, proper actions of the nature of the equipment and the reactions indicated for operations to be performed.

The simulator provides a realistic model, which will generate major acceleration and movements that are perceived in the cab of the crane itself. Similarly, the modeling of cables from the machine provides realistic force feedback depending on the cargo hook used at the time. It simulates loading and unloading with a clamshell, for the movement of bulk cargo, container and hook spreader to move general cargo, palletized, tubes, among others.

The equipment has features that allow you to adjust the parameters that are characteristic of the cranes in range and speed, among others, offering a simulator that adjusts to the measures set to real cranes. It includes boat operations such as Barge type, Feeder and Panamax. The simulator handles the following types of containers:

  • Single 20’, 40’ and 45’
  • Twin 20’
  • Containers Over Height 20’ & 40’ Flat Rack or Open Top
  • Over Height Frame 20’ & 40’ or High Cube
  • 20’ & 40’ Lashing Container Work Platforms
  • Off-Balance Load
  • General cargo such as pipes, wooden boxes, loading pallets, vehicles and others
  • Hatch Covers

RO-RO Trailer Simulator

The Ro-Ro (Roll in / Roll off) is a tractor head for loading and unloading truck’s platform (trailers) on ferries. It is a machine with great maneuverability and power. The operator of the RO-RO must know well this equipment operation to leave the cargo within the ship in positions which are sometimes of great difficulty.

Reach Stacker Simulator

This equipment is used for different functions in the normal operation of a container terminal, such as the transfer of containers to a tract trailers – trucks.

e-Tech simulator reproduces the dynamics of electronic systems protection standards, load moment indicator, weight of the load, as well as the characteristics of visibility for stacking, movement and driving. Also allows the activation of virtual cameras at the discretion of the instructor, to get different visual angles that help students in their learning process.

The system shows the effect of power sharing between the various subsystems when they are activated simultaneously, as well as the damage that may occur during operation.

The group of these models combined with the mechanical model reproduces the behavior of the system that creates a real crane, making it the ideal choice for training reach stackers’ operators.
